Yosemite at 17 Gigapixels

Some unbelievably detailed panoramas of Yosemite by photographer Gerard Maynard. Each one is the result of stitching together anywhere from 500 to 2,000 separate images.

For the full effect, select "Zoomify" mode–especially for the Glacier Point and El Cap shots–and start zooming in…and in…and in…

The site says the Glacier Point photo is the "largest known stitched panorama"; printed at 300 dpi, it would cover 1,332.8 square feet.
